# Danielle Chen

I’m a Senior UX Designer at EY Design Studio PHL (part of Ernst & Young LLP), a user-centered research, design and development studio based in Philadelphia. Prior to EY, I worked at both Hasbro and Penn Medicine, developing products ranging from electromechanical toys to diagnostics apps. I have a master’s degree in Integrated Product Design from the University of Pennsylvania.

In 2018, I co-founded “rekindling”, a board game designed to help families develop empathy for and communicate with one another while navigating through a tough time. “rekindling” encourages families to physically gather around the table and talk about difficult subjects through collaborative gameplay.

My talk on fostering conversation on challenging topics through collaborative gameplay will draw on my experiences in toy, healthcare, and user experience design.
